Akash Bhattacharya

Akash Bhattacharya is a Senior Application Engineer at Beckman Coulter since October 2018, focusing on the development of new applications in protein biophysics, quality control, and materials sciences. In addition to this role, Akash serves as a Guest Editor for a special issue on “MicroRNA Regulation of Oxidative Stress” for the journal Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity and reviews manuscripts for PLOS ONE and Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics. Previous academic positions include Visiting Assistant Professor and Adjunct Professor at St. Mary's University, as well as postdoctoral research roles at UTHSCSA and Rutgers University, involving studies on HIV protein interactions and molecular chaperone systems, respectively. Akash holds a PhD in Biophysics from the University of Michigan, alongside an MS in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science and a BSc in Physics (Honours).
