Mark Shapland

Mark Shapland was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Becknell Industrial in January 2022.

Mr. Shapland joined Becknell in 2008 and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2011. As President and Chief Executive Officer, he oversees the strategic direction of all aspects of the Company including capital structuring, business development and property operations. His extensive knowledge and experience with the day-to-day operations of our Company is invaluable and provides the foundation to oversee and lead all facets of the Company while implementing the strategic initiatives necessary to grow and expand Becknell’s success.

A twenty year banking and real estate industry veteran, Mark is widely recognized for his real estate investment expertise and key institutional investor relationships. Prior to joining Becknell Industrial, he spent 17 years in commercial real estate lending.

He is a graduate of the University of Illinois and received his M.B.A. in Finance from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in 1993. Mark is a member of the Board of Directors for the H Foundation and a community based charity founded to fight cancer.
