Stephen Mitchell Smith

Stephen Mitchell Smith has a long history of working in the technology and engineering fields. In 2011, they were a Mechatronics Intern at Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Robotics Researcher at Cornell University and a Robotics Institute Intern at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2013, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Jar~with~a~Twist LLC and the Manager of the Entrepreneurship Initiative's Garage at North Carolina State University. In 2014, they were a Robotics and Automation Engineer at TerrAvion, Inc. and a Path Planning Intern at Astrobotic. From 2015 to 2016, they held multiple roles at TerrAvion, Inc. including Flight Division Manager, Collection Systems Engineer, and Chief Technology Officer. In 2020, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Bedrock Wireless.

Stephen Mitchell Smith began their education in 2007 at NCSSM. Stephen Mitchell then attended North Carolina State University from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Finally, they attended Carnegie Mellon University from 2014 to 2015 and earned a Master of Science (MS) in Robotics Systems Design.
