Genia Mineeva has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Genia started their career as a Broadcast Journalist, Editor, News and Current Affairs at BBC Worldwide, where they covered international news and conducted interviews with global leaders. Genia then served as the Director of Global Communications at The Naked Heart Foundation from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, they became the Director of Communications at Change.org until 2018. Genia also worked as a Social Enterprise Mentor at Year Here and as the Chair of the Organizing Committee, Russia at One Young World. In 2017, Genia was a guest lecturer at AMD Akademie Mode & Design, focusing on Sustainable Business Models. In 2018, they founded BEEN London, a brand that creates simple essentials from discarded materials. Finally, in 2019, they became an Assessor for High Impact Leadership at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL).
Genia Mineeva obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Value Chains from the University of Cambridge in 2018. In 2004, they completed Media Studies at Pomona College. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2003, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) in Linguistics, specifically focusing on the language of advertising, from Moscow City Teachers' Training University (MGPU).
