Candice Gizewski

Candice has been working with children diagnosed with autism and related disabilities since 2000. She began as a behavior technician implementing in-home programs under the guidance of a BCBA. It was then, after her first experience watching a BCBA teach an individual who had no functional communication to sign “chip” to request his favorite food item that she knew that was what she wanted to do.

From there, Candice went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from the University of St Francis in Joliet, IL. She brought with her the skills she had learned from her previous experience in the classroom setting. Although she had a passion for teaching and enjoyed the classroom setting, she wanted to work more closely with families in the home. Candice received her Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2008 and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2009.
