Onur Turkmen has extensive experience in the consumer electronics industry. Onur started their career at Arcelik in 2006, where they worked as an R&D Engineer, leading new cabinet projects and overseeing mechanical design and development of plastic and metal parts. In 2011, they transitioned to the role of Outsource Executive, responsible for purchasing white goods and small home appliances from manufacturers in China and Korea. Onur also developed local sourcing strategies and performed cost analysis to ensure the highest quality at the lowest cost.
In 2013, Turkmen joined Beko Global as the Head of Product for Greater China market. In this role, they managed the product portfolio of Arcelik brands and led expansion into different channels and product categories. Onur also maintained relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders.
In 2019, Turkmen was promoted to Director of Marketing and Product Management at Beko Global. Onur led brand and product strategies for Beko and Grundig brands in the Greater China market, overseeing product management, brand, digital, and trade marketing teams. Additionally, they were responsible for building annual marketing plans and budgets to achieve brand communication, sales traffic, and profit and loss targets.
Onur Turkmen holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Executive MBA from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), which they completed between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University, attending from 2000 to 2005. Additionally, Onur Turkmen has acquired additional certifications including "Yale SOM Executive Education Corporate Sustainability Management: Risk, Profit, and Purpose" from the Yale School of Management in April 2023, and "Organizational Design for Digital Transformation" from the MIT Sloan School of Management in July 2022.
