Marcela Albuquerque, PhD, is a seasoned research manager specializing in food microbiology and project management, currently working at Bel since September 2022. As the founder and project leader of NEPP, Marcela developed scientific content and led courses on probiotics and food microbiology from October 2021 to July 2023. Prior roles include postdoctoral positions at the University of São Paulo and Oniris Nantes, where Marcela focused on the optimization of lactic acid bacteria's proteolytic activity and its implications for gluten allergenicity. Marcela holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Pharmaceutical Biochemical Technology, and is pursuing an MBA in Project Management.
