Gerrie Govaerts

Gerrie Govaerts is an experienced IT professional specializing in analytics, engineering, and software development. Currently serving as a Synapse Analytics Coach, Framework Designer, and Azure DevOps Engineer at Belfius since November 2022, Gerrie also holds the title of Sustainable IT certified Ambassador and is an active member of the Corporate Social Responsibility committee. Prior to this role, Gerrie worked at Vanbreda Risk & Benefits as an Azure Data Engineer and .NET Software Engineer from December 2016 to November 2022, and has also held various engineering and software development positions at companies such as Ypto, FEDERALE Assurance-Verzekering, Delhaize Group, Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick, SD Worx Belgium, and Smals. Gerrie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Computer Science from Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen, earned between 1998 and 2001.
