Esther Kim Kemper is a scientist at Belharra Therapeutics since March 2022, bringing a wealth of experience in chemical biology. Previously, Esther served as a graduate student at Scripps Research from November 2015 to November 2021, focusing on chemoproteomic approaches to uncover context-dependent reactivity and ligandability. Esther's research experience includes positions as an undergraduate research assistant at the UC Berkeley Department of Molecular Cell Biology, where work involved transmembrane and intracellular signal transduction in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and at the UC Berkeley Department of Chemical Engineering, investigating the biosynthetic pathways of volatile, fuel-like molecules from Pseudomonas. Esther holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from Scripps Research (2016-2021) and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Biology from the University of California, Berkeley (2011-2015).
