Chad Musick has held several positions in the tech industry since 1997. Chad began their career as a Software Engineer at eBay Inc., where they developed the MyEbay system, one of the web's earliest template-based dynamic pages, and designed the data architecture used by eBay at the time of IPO. In 1999, they became the Owner of Root Five Software. After that, they worked as a Post-doctoral researcher at Nagoya University from 2012 to 2013. In 2013, they became the Operations Manager at ThinkSCIENCE. In 2018, they began working as a Freelance Data Scientist, leveraging their PhD in mathematical science, PGCE in business, and passion for writing simply to take complicated information and turn it into succinct options with an explanation of the pros and cons of each. Finally, in 2019, they were appointed Chief Data Officer, Data Manager, and Data Engineer at Bellroy.
Chad Musick received a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006. Chad then went on to earn an M.S. in Computational Mathematics from Texas A&M University in 2010. Following that, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in 数理 (Mathematical Sciences) from Nagoya University in 2012. In 2019, they earned an Advanced Data Science with IBM Specialization from Coursera. In 2020, they became Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer from Google. In 2021, they became a Certified Data Management Professional - Master from DAMA-I.
