Dawana Williamson

DaWana Williamson has had extensive work experience in various leadership roles. DaWana currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Bellwether Education Partners, where they lead business services, human capital, and operations teams. Prior to that, they were a Member at Chief, a private network focused on empowering senior women leaders.

From 2018 to 2020, DaWana worked as the Sr. Director of Product Development at AnitaB.org, where they led strategy, operations, program management, and product development to expand representation of women in technology.

Before that, they held senior leadership positions at YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, including Senior Vice President Operations and Vice President Operations, where they oversaw strategy, operations, and program management for wellness programs.

DaWana also has experience in public education, having worked as a Performance Management Specialist at Chicago Public Schools. DaWana began their career at The Home Depot in the Rotational Leadership Program and later worked at LyondellBasell as a Quality Assurance Manager, Production Engineer, and Process Engineer.

Throughout their career, DaWana has demonstrated their ability to lead teams, develop innovative programs, optimize performance, and drive positive change.

DaWana Williamson holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Hampton University. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in the field of Data Analytics and Innovation. DaWana completed the Data Analytics Career Track certification from Springboard in April 2021 and the INSIGHTS FOR INNOVATION certification from IDEO in November 2019.
