Javin Cotton

Javin Cotton, M.A., currently serves as the School Principal of Bellwood School District 88 since August 2019, previously holding the position of Assistant Principal. With extensive experience in educational leadership, Javin has worked as an Impact Leader for the Chicago Region at Profound Gentlemen, focusing on supporting educators of color. Prior roles include Dean of Students at Acero Charter Network and North Lawndale College Prep, where responsibilities encompassed enforcing student conduct, managing support systems, and leading professional development. Javin began an educational career as an English Teacher at Homewood-Flossmoor High School and has experience in tutoring through the America Reads Program. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at Loyola University Chicago, Javin holds a Master's in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago and a Bachelor's in Communication Studies: Education from Illinois State University.
