Dr. Bill Thierfelder has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles throughout their career. Dr. Bill began their career as the President of ProSportDoc, Inc in 1985 and worked in this role until 1992. Dr. Bill then co-founded Joyner Sports Medicine in 1992 and served as a Co-Founder until 1998. During this time, they gained experience in the field of sports medicine. In 1998, they joined NovaCare as the National Director of Sports Science, where they remained until 2000. Following this, they worked as the Executive Director of Player Management Group, LLC (PMG) from 2000 to 2002. In 2002, Dr. Thierfelder became the President of York Barbell Company, a position they held until 2004. Currently, they serve as the President of Belmont Abbey College, a role they have held since 2004. This position has allowed him to contribute to the continued academic excellence of the institution, which has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report.
Dr. Bill Thierfelder holds an Ed.D. and an Ed.M. in Sport Psychology & Human Movement from Boston University. Dr. Bill also has an Executive Program Certificate in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Additionally, Dr. Thierfelder earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland.
