Sandy Maynard has a long history of work experience in the field of technology and professional development. Sandy began their career in 1995 as the Director of IT Services and Leadership Development and Supervisor of Career and Technical Education Program for Federal Way Public Schools. In 2009, they moved to Sumner School District as the Chief Technology Officer, where they managed a Train the Trainer model and provided leadership development through group facilitation and event planning. In 2016, they were hired as the Chief Technology Officer for San Rafael City Schools. In 2018, they moved to San Francisco Unified School District as the Executive Director of Enterprise Systems. Most recently, in 2019, Sandy co-founded Maynard Partners LLC, where they provide professional and organizational development services, including professional development design and implementation, strategic planning, organizational design, employee climate audits, change management, project/program management, and director-level coaching/mentoring. In 2022, they will become the VP of Experience for BenchK12.

Sandy Maynard has a diverse educational background. Sandy obtained a Leadership degree from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business, a CTE from Bates Technical College, a Bachelor's degree in Management of Technology from Warren National College, and an AA in Information Technology Systems from Pierce College. Additionally, Sandy has obtained several certifications, including a Certified Education Technology Leader from the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) in 2016, a Trained LPI Coach from The Leadership Challenge in 2015, a Bridgeworks - Generation Train the Trainer Certification from BridgeWorks: Bridging the Generational Divide in 2007, a Certified Trainer from The Leadership Challenge in 2005, and was a past member of the National Speaker Bureau.
