Rukshan Fernando

Rukshan Fernando is a Test Development Engineer III at Benchmark since March 2022, with extensive experience in testing and ensuring product quality prior to launch. Previously, Rukshan served as an Advanced Test Engineer III at Honeywell Aerospace from August 2013 to March 2022, where responsibilities included collaborating across departments to address design, safety, and technology specifications. Earlier experience includes a role as a Student Researcher Intern at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, focusing on enhancing solar cell absorption through nanoparticle research, and involvement in student organizations such as the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Engineering Student Council at UC Irvine. Rukshan holds dual degrees, a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with a minor in Materials Science from UC Irvine.
