Jaakko Sormunen

Jaakko Sormunen has extensive experience in the technology and manufacturing sectors, holding roles such as Head of Sales at Beneq, Business Development Director at SSH Communications Security, Operations Manager at AMETEK, and Sales Manager at Okmetic Oy. Jaakko also founded and served as CEO of Nexcelsior Oy. Jaakko has a background in engineering and research, having worked as a Production Engineer at OptoGaN and a Research Scientist at Aalto University School of Science and Technology. Furthermore, they have held various positions at Okmetic Inc., including Business Development Manager, Customer Support Engineer, and Product Development Engineer. Additionally, they have served as a Board Member at Wonna. Jaakko's experience includes sales, business development, operations management, and product development across a range of industries.

Jaakko Sormunen completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Henley Business School in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan in 2006. Jaakko also holds a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from the same institution, completed in 2002. Additionally, Jaakko obtained various certifications in Agile, Big Data, Software Project Management, and Sales Management between 2018 and 2020.
