Julian E. Lago

Mr. Lago is President and Co-Founder of Benezon LLC, a 24/7 concierge advocacy service developed to help plan members understand, access and utilize today’s confusing healthcare system and their company-offered benefits. Proprietary programs leverage multiple tools and communication strategies to enhance engagement, minimize overall healthcare claims and reduce stress for employers and employees alike. Dedicated Subject Matter Experts provide personalized, professional support to plan members via "white labeled" tools and solutions that promote the agency brand of the broker partners. A recognized expert in his field, Julian is a frequent speaker on Health Reform, PPACA and Exchanges, with speaking engagements at National, Regional and State events - including providing sworn testimony before the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.

Julian has been a licensed life and health insurance agent since 1983 and holds an active Property & Casualty Insurance license. He is a Past President of the Palm Coast Chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) and served as the 2009-2010 state President of the Florida Association of Health Underwriters (FAHU). Julian is currently serving as the Florida Exchange Coordinator for NAHU, and also serves on the NAHU Transparency task force and most recently was elected to serve as Region Five VP as a member of the NAHU Board of Trustees. In 2008 Julian earned the distinction of “Agent of the Year” from FAHU and was presented the distinguished Dan Yount “Floridian” Award in 2010 and the David Saltzman Public Speaking Award in 2012. In 2013 he received the FAHU Presidents Citations Award and was proud to accept the 2013-2014 NAHU Blue Chip Award on behalf of all members in NAHU Region Five.
