Islam Elshaarawy

Islam ElShaarawy is a professional with extensive experience in academia and digital transformation. Currently serving as مستشار الوزير للتحول الرقمي at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates since October 2023, Islam has also held the position of Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at Benha University's Faculty of Engineering since October 2014. Islam previously contributed as Chief Information Officer and Director of Electronic and Knowledge Services Unit at Benha University from October 2016 to October 2023. Earlier experience includes a Ph.D. Fellowship at Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, work as a GIS Expert and System Analyst at Prosylab, and a System Developer role at vWorker. Islam holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science and Engineering from Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, obtained in 2014, along with further studies at the University of Greenwich from 2018 to 2019.
