Andrew Lewis

Andrew Lewis has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as Director of Business Technology at Bennett Jones. In this role, they oversee teams of professional developers and software support analysts, managing a portfolio of applications. Prior to this, Andrew held various roles at Bennett Jones, including Business Technology Manager and Software Development Manager, where they led development teams, conducted code reviews, and improved software development processes.

Before joining Bennett Jones, Andrew worked as a Senior .NET Developer at FortisAlberta and as a Senior Consultant and Software Architect at Acclaimware Inc., where they provided consulting services and acted as a technical lead on projects.

Earlier in their career, Andrew worked as a Manager of Systems Development and Intranet Support at Bennett Jones LLP, a Software Developer at TransCanada, a Consultant at Allstream, a Software Developer at Shaw Communications, a Systems Analyst at Softwise Inc., and an Independent Consultant at Acrodex. Andrew also volunteered as a missionary in Switzerland.

Throughout their career, Andrew has gained experience in various areas of software development, including project management, technical design, coding standards, and architecture. Andrew has worked on a range of applications and projects, including ai-enabled, cloud-based, and on-prem applications, as well as enterprise integration components and financial services software.

Andrew Lewis completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they attained their Bachelor's degree in Management from The University of Lethbridge between 2002 and 2008. Andrew also holds a diploma in Computer Systems Technology (CST) from NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology), which they obtained from 1995 to 1997. In addition to their academic qualifications, Andrew has obtained various certifications, including CPR/AED/First Aid from the Canadian Red Cross in 2023, and Microsoft certifications in Azure Fundamentals and Prepare for the Developing Solutions in Microsoft Azure (AZ-204) Exam in 2022. Andrew also holds certifications in Scrum fundamentals, Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL Foundations, Certified Scrum Master, and MCPD: Enterprise Application Developer from various institutions and years.
