Sean Sheng

Sean Sheng has extensive work experience in the tech industry. Sean is currently the Head of Engineering at BentoML, a company that focuses on providing AI application platforms and maintaining the open-source project BentoML. Prior to their current role, they worked at LinkedIn as a Senior Engineering Manager in the Service Infrastructure team, where they built platforms and frameworks to support distributed services. Before that, they were a Staff Software Engineer at LinkedIn, where they contributed to the Rest.li open-source project. Sean also has experience at Microsoft, where they worked as a Software Engineer on the Azure Front Door team, helping to build a global network that minimized latency and served millions of requests per second. Sean also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Microsoft, where they developed the Application Composition Framework (ACF) and proof-of-concept applications. Earlier in their career, Sean was a Software Engineer Intern at Amazon, where they developed the Amazon Merchant Transport Utility (AMTU) version 2.0.

Sean Sheng completed a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo from 2006 to 2011. In addition, they obtained several certifications in machine learning and neural networks from Coursera, including Convolutional Neural Networks in May 2018, Structuring Machine Learning Projects in January 2018, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization in December 2017, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning in December 2017.
