Sylvia Young

Sylvia Young is an experienced insurance professional with a strong background in commercial lines underwriting. Currently serving as a Commercial Lines Executive Field Underwriter at Berkley North Pacific Group since July 2015, Sylvia is responsible for the profitability and growth of new and renewal business in the Middle Market, including risk assessment and premium rate recommendations. Prior to this role, Sylvia worked at CNA Insurance from August 1997 to July 2015 as a Commercial Lines Underwriting Specialist/Consultant, managing a $5M book of business and overseeing the underwriting process within assigned territories. Sylvia's educational background includes studies at Washington State University from 1994 to 1997 and Eastern Washington University from 1993 to 1994.
