Maya McOmie

Maya McOmie is an experienced English Language Instructor currently employed at Berlitz Japan since December 2023. Previously, Maya served as a Lecturer at The Ohio State University from December 2022 to May 2023, and as a Graduate Teaching Associate and MFA Candidate at the same institution from August 2019 to May 2022, where responsibilities included designing lesson plans and evaluating student writing. Earlier career roles included Document QA Specialist, Project Coordinator, and Contracted Quality Assurance Specialist at LanguageLine Solutions, as well as various positions in retail, such as Sales Associate at Popina Swimwear and Inventory Generalist at Powell's Books. Maya holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Lewis & Clark College.
