Daniel Ramos has extensive work experience in the field of engineering, particularly in the areas of ports and maritime engineering, project management, and structural engineering. Daniel is currently the Director of Ports & Maritime Engineering at Bermello Ajamil & Partners, Inc. since September 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager at COWI North America from August 2015 to August 2019. Daniel also served as a Structural Engineer at Moffatt & Nichol from August 2013 to August 2015. Additionally, they worked on their Master's Thesis Project at MC2 Estudio de Ingenieria from January 2013 to September 2013. Daniel began their career as an Associate Engineer at Ben C. Gerwick, Inc. in June 2008, where they provided structural analysis for marine and heavy civil projects, produced design basis reports, and researched best practice procedures. Daniel had summer internships at Mendenhall Smith in 2007 and Adames Design Group in 2006.
Daniel Ramos obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they studied from 2002 to 2008. In 2006 to 2007, they also participated in a study abroad program at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, focusing on Spanish Language and Culture. Daniel then pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Structural Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2012 to 2013. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including the Professional Engineer certification in New York in December 2017, the California Professional Civil Engineer certification from the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveryors, and Geologists in September 2011, and the Earthquake Safety Assessment Program Evaluator certification from the California Emergency Management Agency in March 2010.
