Isabelle Henshall

Isabelle Henshall is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine since December 2021, focusing on the role of the Kelch13 protein and associated proteins in Artemisinin resistance in malaria parasites. Prior to this role, Isabelle was a Casual Practical Demonstrator at the University of Adelaide from February 2018 to November 2021, guiding second-year students in Molecular Life Sciences and applying skills developed during a PhD in Molecular Parasitology, where research centered on surface-exposed antigens in malaria. Additionally, Isabelle gained customer service and operational experience as a Supervisor and Floor Staff at Koko Black Chocolate from April 2014 to February 2018. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Parasitology and a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, both from the University of Adelaide, along with a Bachelor of Medical Sciences from The Australian National University and the University of South Australia.
