Janette Longstaff

Janette is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and became Executive Director, Finance in 2019, prior to which she was Bernicia’s Finance Director. Janette has responsibility for Finance, ICT, Risk and Assurance across the Group.

She has been with Bernicia Group for 16 years during which she has supported the group through significant growth and more recently completed a significant refinancing transaction for Bernicia.

Janette led Bernicia’s finance team through a period of major change, consolidation and innovation, following which the team was recognised regionally and nationally as Finance Team of the Year.

She is skilled and experienced in finance, strategy and risk, gained across a range of sectors including manufacturing, commercial and service sectors, where she held a number of senior finance roles.

Janette is the Chair of the National Housing Federation North East Finance Practitioners Group.
