Nana Dadson

With almost 20 years of experience practicing in the field of psychiatry, Nana has come to a better understanding of the unique challenges facing the field, the patients, and the providers. Reducing the stigma associated with mental health treatment, increasing access to care, especially for those who are most underserved, and finding ways to encourage the recruitment and retention of psychiatric providers are the three areas of the field that have reached critical levels in the past decade.

As the Center’s medical director, she is in charge of overseeing the safe and effective delivery of medication services to the adults and children they serve and providing the necessary education and consultation to the medical community regarding mental health. I’m proud to work at the Bert Nash Center because of its demonstrated commitment to its community and for its ability to creatively remain a leader and a great partner in the field of mental health, despite all the challenges mental health centers have been facing. Bert Nash continues to provide excellent quality mental health care to members of the community, largely because of its wonderful, dedicated staff.
