Peter J. Langas

Mr. Langas is Chief Portfolio Strategist at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he is responsible for developing policies on asset allocation, customized portfolio strategies, and implementation. He is a member of the firm’s Management Committee, Investment Policy and Strategy Committee, Investment Committees for Alternative Investments, and is Chair of the Investment Risk Committee.

Prior to joining Bessemer, Peter was a senior portfolio manager at Bernstein Global Wealth Management, where he was a member of the firm’s Private Client Investment Policy Group. Before that, he was a portfolio manager with The Chicago Trust Company, Vestor Capital, and Morgan Stanley.

He is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and the Board of Trustees of the Adler Planetarium. He has guest lectured at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Yale School of Management.

Peter earned an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in engineering from Cornell University. He is a CFA® charterholder.
