Benedict Nwachukwu, MD MBA has extensive experience in the medical field. In 2008, they began their career as a Research Associate at Brigham and Women's Hospital. In 2013, they joined Hospital for Special Surgery as an Innovation Fellow and Orthopaedic Surgery Resident. From 2018 to 2019, they served as an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellow at Rush University Medical Center. In 2019, they began their tenure as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University. That same year, they also began their role as Sports Medicine Surgeon, Co-Director of Sports Medicine Research, and Medical Director of the HSS Center for Analytics, Modeling & Performance (CAMP) at Hospital for Special Surgery. In 2020, they became the CEO and Co-Founder of BICMD. In 2022, they joined FIGUR8, Inc. as a member of the Clinical Advisory Board.
Benedict Nwachukwu, MD MBA has a diverse educational background. Benedict attended St Paul's School from 1997 to 2001. Benedict then went on to Columbia University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology in 2008. From 2008 to 2013, they attended Harvard Medical School and obtained an MD. During this time, they also attended Harvard Business School and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Benedict also holds a Diplomate from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
