Afzal Hassan

Afzal Hassan is an experienced professional in the halal meat industry, currently serving as the Master Halal Butcher Manager at Batleys Ltd since June 2014. In this role, Afzal has successfully established the halal butcher department from scratch, leading a team of six employees to achieve the highest group sales within the national organization. Prior to this position, Afzal was the Head of Halal Operations at A&R Foods from June 2008 to October 2013, overseeing production management and ensuring quality output alongside strict health and safety standards. Afzal's career began at CHESHIRE HALAL UK LIMITED, where Afzal worked as a butcher and later as General Manager from May 1990 to May 2008, honing skills in knife work and training new butchers in halal specifications. Afzal's educational background includes attendance at Bellahouston Academy from 1977 to 1983.
