David Lim

David Lim has a diverse work experience in the medical device industry. David began their career as an Accounts Payable Administrator at Trex Enterprises in 2009. In 2010, they joined Dexcom as a Data Analyst. From 2012 to 2016, they founded and owned Diabetic Lifestyle, a company focused on catering to individuals with diabetes.

In 2012, Lim transitioned to Tandem Diabetes Care, where they held various roles including Customer Technical Support, Business Data Analyst, and Strategy & Market Research Analyst. David eventually became a Product Manager at Tandem Diabetes Care before leaving in 2016.

Lim then joined Sommetrics as the Director of Product Management & Marketing in 2016. In this role, they oversaw the strategic, tactical, and operational aspects of product management for the aerSleep sleep apnea device. David also played a key role in defining the product and services roadmap and ensuring successful development and commercialization of the product.

In 2018, Lim joined Beta Bionics as a Product Manager & Business Development Manager. David later became the Senior Product Manager overseeing the development of the iLet Bionic Pancreas system. David contributed to several patents in medical device product design and user experience. Lim then advanced to the roles of Director of Product Management and Director of Product Experience & Commercial Strategy.

Throughout their career, Lim has demonstrated a strong background in product management, user experience, market research, and strategic planning within the medical device industry.

David Lim attended UC San Diego and studied Economics. David also attended National University where they obtained a degree in Business Administration. In May 2016, they received a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance.
