Steven Russell, MD, PhD, has an extensive work experience in the medical field. Currently, they serve as the Chief Medical Officer at Beta Bionics since November 2022. Prior to this, they had various roles at Harvard Medical School, starting as an Instructor in Medicine in July 2006 and progressing to Assistant Professor of Medicine from April 2012 to November 2017, and then as an Associate Professor of Medicine from December 2017 to November 2022. Dr. Steven Russell completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry at Trinity University from 1986 to 1990. Following that, they pursued their MD, PhD at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School from 1990 to 2001, specializing in Medicine and Biological Chemistry.
