Ramy Arnaout, MD, DPhil, currently serves as the President Elect of the Northeast Branch of the American Society of Microbiology and holds the position of Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School since 2012. At Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Ramy Arnaout is the Associate Director of Clinical Microbiology Laboratories and Director of Reference Laboratory Testing, with expertise in clinical pathology, genomics, infectious disease, and informatics. Ramy Arnaout has also contributed to the College of American Pathologists' Informatics Committee and previously chaired the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Advisory Committee at the CDC. Educational background includes a PhD in Mathematical Biology from the University of Oxford, an MD with Honors from Harvard Medical School, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
