Mel Boyd

Mel Boyd is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Senior Director of Transportation for Bethel School District since June 2015, with previous roles including Director of Human Resources, Interim Principal, and Associate Administrator. Prior to this, Mel held the position of Director of Membership & Hospitality at South Puget Sound SHRM from January 2018 to January 2020 and worked as a 3rd Grade Teacher and Learning Specialist at Franklin Pierce School District from June 2009 to June 2015. Mel began a career at Alaska Airlines as a Ramp Agent from July 2001 to May 2005. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration at Pacific Lutheran University, Mel also holds a Master of Education from Washington State University and a Bachelor of Education from Pacific Lutheran University, complemented by an Associate of Arts from Green River College.
