Anthony W.

Anthony W. has worked in the software engineering industry since 2008. Anthony began their career at EMC as a Contract Software Engineer, then moved to Palio+Ignite as a Web Application Developer. In 2010, they began working at IGN Entertainment as a Software Engineer, where they developed a portal for indie game developers. In 2012, they joined Dell EMC as a Software QA Engineer - Tools & Automation, where they developed internal build metric visualization, test automation, and bug management tooling. From 2014 to 2019, Anthony worked at SendGrid as a Principal Engineer I, Sr. Software Engineer in Test, and Software Engineer in Test. In 2019, they joined Twilio Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer, where they built large-scale backend distributed systems. In 2021, Anthony began working at Bevy as an Engineering Manager and Principal Platform Engineer, where they manage an agile-driven team of platform and dev-ops engineers and serves as an architect and PM for the company's backend systems. Additionally, they introduced automated tooling and engineering processes to improve the developer experience. Since 2018, Anthony has also served as an Adjunct Instructor for Santa Monica College's computer science department, teaching introductory courses for JavaScript and/or Python during the Fall/Spring semesters.

Anthony W. received their Master's Degree in Computer Science from UC Irvine and their Bachelor of Science in Information and Computer Science from the same university.
