Sander Schouten

Sander believes that changes in any business are caused by two things: An urge to differentiate and an individual that is willing to get there.

Despite a successful career start in the Oil and Gas industry, he came to the conclusion that for him natural hydrocarbons as an energy source wasn’t the long-term solution that the world needed. Using his knowledge combined with the business sense he found the answer in a renewable energy startup that is still active today.

The energetic and flexible atmosphere of the startup made him find the drive to continue to disrupt industries.

Recognizing the rising opportunities within sports on the intersection of tech and data, he met with Louis van Gaal (Head Coach of the Dutch FA) and he used this opportunity to introduce him to the latest tech on the market. It was that encounter that led to the idea for a solution that we now know as Beyond sports.
