John Walker

John Walker has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. John is currently working as a Principal Security Researcher at BeyondTrust, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Detection Engineer at CrowdStrike from 2021 to 2022, where they focused on protecting Kubernetes and other new infrastructure. John also co-discovered a critical vulnerability during their time at CrowdStrike. Before joining CrowdStrike, John worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Tenable from 2017 to 2020, where they played a crucial role in driving the release of updates and developing a new cloud security product. Additionally, they adapted Tenable's Container Security solution to their existing SaaS platform. John also has experience as an IT Director at New Concepts Development from 2010 to 2017, where they built infrastructure, hired and led a distributed team, and drove the expansion of products to new audiences and markets.
