Anita Cassity has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Currently, they are the Head of Impact and Data at Bezos Academy. Prior to that, they worked at Achievement Network (ANet) as the Vice President of Data & Analytics, where they led a team of data scientists and analysts to support schools and improve student learning. Anita also held various roles at ANet, including Managing Director of Data Science & Org Effectiveness, and Director of Data Science & Insights. Before joining ANet, Anita served as the Senior Director of State and District Partnerships & Strategy at The College Board. Anita also worked at the NYC Department of Education as the Chief of Staff of the Office of Curriculum & Professional Development, and as the Core Curriculum Program Manager. Anita's earlier experience includes working at Children's Rights as an Analyst and at Maryvale and Rossier Park Elementary School in educational roles.
Anita Cassity holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a focus on Quantitative Methods, which they obtained from UCLA between 2010 and 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Education at Teachers College, Columbia University from 2006 to 2007. Anita also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology, with a focus on Neurobiology and Learning, which they earned from Harvard University between 1996 and 2000.
