Paul Richardson has extensive work experience in various sectors, including the public, private, and voluntary sectors. Paul began their career as a Compiler at the Institute of Public Finance in 1986 and then moved on to work as a Business Planning Manager at Lee Valley Park in 1988. In 1997, they joined British Waterways as an External Funding Executive, and then transitioned to a Senior Manager position at Sport England in 1999. In 2002, Paul became a Senior Executive and Project Manager at the UK Film Council, and later in 2009, they took on the role of a Cricket Umpire at the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) ACO. Most recently, they worked as the Head of Fraud, Risk & Scrutiny at the British Film Institute starting in 2011. Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated expertise in areas such as counter fraud, risk management, scrutiny, business planning, project management, and customer relations.
Paul Richardson attended the University of Liverpool from 1974 to 1981 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Politics from the same university from 1981 to 1984.
