David Gray

David Gray has over 30 years of work experience in the medical device industry. David is currently working as the CTO Hardware & Software at BforCure since 2022. Previously, from 2021 to 2022, they held the role of CTO / VP R&D at Open To New Opportunities in MedTech R&D.

Prior to that, David was the Vice President of Research and Development at BIOMODEX from 2020 to 2021, where they headed a hi-tech and creative team providing innovative 3-D printed and software solutions in various fields such as cardiac, neuro-vascular, and orthopedics.

From 2018 to 2020, David served as the Chief Technology Officer at GenSight Biologics, leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers developing bio-mimetic headsets for a gene-therapy/device solution for patients with Retinitis Pigmentosa and AMD.

David was the Managing Director/CTO and Co-Founder of AG MEDICAL from 2005 to 2018, where they focused on sales, marketing, and the development of new innovative devices in the field of Nuclear Medicine. David obtained ISO-13485:2012 certification for the company in 2016.

David also has experience as the Director General at Artech Medical, where they set up and ran a medical device start-up company specializing in cardiology. Additionally, they worked as a Project Leader at GE Healthcare, a Project Manager at ATEME, and as Head of R&D at DIGITAL MAMMOGRAPHICS Inc.

Overall, David Gray has a diverse and extensive background in leading teams and developing innovative medical devices throughout their career.

David Gray has a BSc (Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Abertay University, which they obtained from 1977 to 1982. David also pursued Post Grad research in Fetal ultrasound & teaching from 1982 to 1984 at the same university.
