Ziad El Kik has a diverse work experience in the fields of project management, design, and construction. Ziad started their career at Emaar Properties, where they worked as a Design and Project Manager for major projects, including The Burj Khalifa Development and The Dubai Mall. Ziad then joined Ashtaar Contractors as a Senior Project Manager, where they oversaw projects such as the Dubai Burj Khalifa and various commercial and residential projects. After this, they worked at Wilson Associates as a Senior Project Manager, where they managed the design team for the Presidential Palace Project in Abu Dhabi. Ziad later joined Laing O'Rourke & OHL Spain as a Project/Design Manager for the construction of the CHUM Hospital in Montreal. Currently, Ziad is working at BGIS as the Director for Design and Project Delivery Services, overseeing the project portfolio management of federal public work assets in Quebec and Atlantic. Ziad is responsible for continuous improvement in processes and innovation in projects implementation and solutions.
Ziad El Kik holds a Master's Degree in Urban Planning, which they obtained from the American University of Sharjah from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Architecture at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts from 1993 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, Ziad has also obtained several certifications, including a PMP Certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2017.
