April Brissette

April Brissette has had a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. April started their career in 2002 as an Assistant Bookkeeper at Potter Heating & A/C, where they handled accounts payable/receivable, reconciled statements, and performed financial reporting. Concurrently, they worked as a Key Server at Delmonico's Italian Steakhouse, ensuring a positive dining experience for guests and training new servers.

In 2007, April joined BHG Financial as a Credit Analyst, responsible for underwriting commercial loans. April quickly progressed to the role of Senior Credit Analyst, where they supervised the credit staff and took on additional HR responsibilities. April then served as the Chief Credit Officer, overseeing a large department and working closely with community banks to provide analysis and support. Afterward, they became the President of the SBA Lending Division at Fund-Ex Solutions Group, a subsidiary of BHG, focusing on funding SBA loans for professionals.

Since January 2020, April has held the position of Chief of Staff at BHG Financial, providing direct support to the CEO and serving as a strategic partner on the Executive team. April manages company-wide priorities, oversees cross-functional projects and initiatives, and plays a crucial role in OKR implementation.

Throughout their career, April has consistently demonstrated their expertise, leadership, and ability to foster relationships within the organizations they have worked for.

April Brissette is currently pursuing an MBA in Project Management from SUNY Empire State College, with an expected completion year of 2025. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from Columbia College. April also holds an Associates degree in Accounting from Onondaga Community College. In July 2021, they obtained a micro-credential certification from The Chief of Staff Association.
