Pedro Arroz Serra

Pedro Arroz Serra has a diverse and extensive work experience. Pedro is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at BHOUT since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias starting from September 2017. Pedro also served as an Engineering Manager at Voicemod from November 2022 to June 2023 and at EVRYTHNG - a Digimarc company from April 2022 to September 2022. Pedro has a strong technical background and previously worked at GMV as a Senior Control Systems Engineer and Technical Manager from August 2018 to April 2022. Pedro also held the role of Project Engineer at GMV from December 2016 to August 2018 and from May 2016 to December 2016. Pedro worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Tabela Dinâmica from September 2015 to September 2017. Pedro has experience in coaching, as they served as a Skipper and wakeboard coach at WakeVilla - Guesthouse & Wake School from January 2011 to May 2015. Pedro worked as a Research Assistant at Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Macau from May 2013 to April 2015 and at Instituto Superior Técnico as a Research Assistant from May 2008 to May 2013. Additionally, at Instituto Superior Técnico, they worked as a Technical Engineer, specializing in hardware design, CPLD, and FPGA circuit programming, and embedded systems development, from September 2007 to May 2008.

Pedro Arroz Serra earned a Ph.D. in Engenharia Electrotécnica e de Computadores from Instituto Superior Técnico in the years 2009-2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Control from the same institution in 2006-2007. Their undergraduate degree, a Licenciatura in Computer Science and Control, was also completed at Instituto Superior Técnico from 2002 to 2006. Pedro Arroz Serra has additional certifications in various fields, including Professional Scrum Master, Wakeboard Judge, International Wakeboard Driver, Category A (Motorcycle) Driver's License, Yachman's License, and Category B (Car) Driver's License.
