Dan Watts

Dan Watts is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, tax accounting, and financial reporting. Currently serving as a Senior Manager in Finance for M&A Transactions at BHP since January 2011, Dan has led initiatives such as the global implementation of IFRS 16 Leases, managed external audit tenders, and contributed to finance function transformations. Previous roles at BHP include Senior Manager in Tax Accounting & Reporting and Senior Manager for Group Functions Finance, where responsibilities encompassed management tax reporting and financial accounting for holding companies. Prior to joining BHP, Dan served as a Client Director at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu from 1997 to December 2010. Dan holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting & Finance from the University of Melbourne and is a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
