Farayi Jawa

Farayi Jawa is a seasoned Senior Operational Leader with extensive experience in the mining and manufacturing industries, currently serving as the Head of BHP Operating System at BHP since September 2022. In this role, Farayi focuses on implementing the BHP Operating system and driving organizational transformation and operational excellence. Previous roles at BHP include Manager of Operations for South Flank, where Farayi led large teams and achieved key business outcomes, and Manager of Processing Production, overseeing the commissioning and operations of infrastructure while optimizing health, safety, and production performance. Farayi's career also includes leadership positions at Rio Tinto, Metallon Gold, Zimasco, and AngloGold Ashanti, complemented by a BSc Hons in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe.
