Laura Kavanagh

Laura Kavanagh is an experienced health and safety professional with a strong background in occupational health and nursing. Currently serving as Manager HSE at BHP, Laura has held various roles, including Health and Hygiene Superintendent and Health Specialist, since September 2016. Prior to BHP, Laura's experience includes positions at Lanco Griffin Coal, Northern Star Resources Limited, Santos GLNG Project, Southern Seawater Desalination Project, and International SOS. Laura possesses superior clinical decision-making skills, a comprehensive understanding of injury management, and a proven ability to effectively communicate within multidisciplinary teams. Educational qualifications include an Associate's Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety from Curtin University, a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Edith Cowan University Bunbury, and a Certificate IV in Nursing Education from South West Regional College of Tafe.
