Nilson D'Avila

Nilson D'avila is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the mining and logistics sectors. Currently serving as General Manager Integrated Operations at BHP since August 2017, Nilson has held multiple leadership positions including General Manager Port and Head of Engineering Iron Ore. In addition, Nilson is a Non Executive Director at RightShip. Previous roles include CFO of Vale Mozambique and President of Vale Colombia at Vale, as well as various general management positions at Vale and BHP Billiton. Nilson holds several advanced degrees in business and engineering, including an Executive Education in Leadership from IMD and MIT Sloan School of Management, alongside post graduation degrees from FGV and Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.
