Claire Sims has extensive work experience in various roles within the communications and marketing field. Claire'smost recent position was as the Director of Communications and Marketing at Bible Society, where they started in 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Communications at Sovereign Housing from 2012 to 2020, leading all communication activities within the organization and overseeing marketing, digital marcoms, corporate affairs, and brand management. Claire also served as the Communications Director at G4S Care & Justice Services from 2005 to 2012. Claire started their career as a Probation Officer at Cambridgeshire Probation Service in 1988, later working at Cheshire Probation Service and West Mercia Probation Trust in various senior roles. Throughout their career, Claire has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in communication strategy and offender intervention programs.

Claire Sims has a diverse education history. Claire obtained a Diploma in Public Relations from Cambridge Marketing College from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Diploma in Probation Management Studies from the University of Birmingham from 1998 to 1999. Claire went on to complete a CQSW & MA degree in Social work from the University of Hull from 1987 to 1988. Claire also holds a BA JT Hons degree in Social & public administration from Durham University, which they obtained from 1982 to 1985. In addition to their degrees, Claire has obtained additional certifications, including becoming a Chartered PR from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in 2017, an Internal Trainer - People Centred Change from Changefirst in 2015, and a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) from Changefirst in 2013.
