Junior Research Scientist at biftek.co

Zeynep Busra Özer has a wealth of experience in the field of biotechnology, beginning with an internship at the Institute for Systems Biology in 2014. Zeynep Busra then completed their MSc at Ankara University's Biotechnology Institute in 2015, where they conducted a project on the epigenetic effect of estrogen on bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells. In 2019, they began a PhD candidacy at Ankara University's Stem Cell Institute, where they have generated induced pluripotent stem cells from colorectal cancer patients and compared the RNA-seq profile between colon biopsy materials and iPSC-derived intestinal colon organoids. Zeynep Busra has also completed two projects, one on the cardioprotective effect of extracellular vesicles derived from ticagrelor-pretreated cardiomyocytes on hyperglycemic cardiomyocytes, and another on the effect of exosomes secreted from N-acetylcysteine pretreated cardiomyocytes on aging-induced ROS production. In 2020, they began a role as a Junior Research Scientist at biftek.co.

Zeynep Busra Özer, MSc completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Bilkent University in 2015. Zeynep Busra also completed an internship at the Institute for Systems Biology in the Huang Group.
