Michele Hood

Michele Hood is an experienced professional in the funeral and insurance industries, currently serving as Donor Services Coordinator at Big Bend Hospice since October 2022. As Owner and Managing Partner of Florida Preneed Services, LLC, Michele assists independent funeral homes with administrative services related to preneed licensing and reporting, while also holding a license as an insurance and preneed agent. With a solid foundation as Associate Executive Director and Vice President of Trust Services for the Independent Funeral Directors of Florida, Michele managed operations for the statewide association for nearly two decades. Additional experience includes positions at WoodmenLife, Colonial Insurance Company of California, and Crawford & Company. Michele is pursuing a funeral arts degree at St. Petersburg College and seeks a paid funeral director internship. Education includes a BS in Marketing from Florida State University and an AA in Accounting from St. Petersburg College.
