Laurie Lessage

As Chief Financial Officer, Laurie oversees and directs financial strategy for BBBS of NYC. For the past 10 years, she has been a successful nonprofit leader excelling in organizational financial health, budget management, and leveraging technology to create strong financial infrastructures. Laurie’s financial practices are informed by prior HR practitioner experience; she always strives to be anti-racist, transparent, and accountable in her work. Laurie also brings significant experience and passion for working with youth-serving organizations. She has committed her career to ensuring equitable futures for young people. Laurie earned her Bachelor of Arts from Curry College and Master of Public Administration from Framingham State University. She is also a graduate of Columbia Business School’s Senior Leaders Program and a New York Peace Institute-trained Mediator. Originally from Boston, she moved to New York City 5 years ago. She loves spending time with her dog, Lilly, and reading suspense, thrillers, and contemporary fiction.
